Cannot connect to a hardware

In the [Hardware Connection] dialog, the network you want to connect is not displayed at [Network].

Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP / IPv6) may not be enabled. Please check the setting as follows.

If you are unable to connect even after making these settings, please check the firewall and security software settings.

  1. Click the search icon at the left bottom of PC and enter “network connections” to open the dialog.
  2. Double-click the network you are using to display “Ethernet Status”.
  3. Click “Properties” (red frame) to display “Ethernet Properties”.
  4. Please check if Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP / IPv6) (red frame) is checked. If not, check it and click the OK button. Then, check if you can connect to the hardware.

[Edit] --> [Environment settings] --> [User notification] -->[Notification sounds]
Even if different types of notification sounds are set, the same ones play.

Please change the sound setting on Windows as follows.

  1. Open Control Panel and click [Hardware and Sound].
  2. Click [Sound] to open the sound setting dialog.
  3. Open [Sounds] tab.
  4. Select a Program Event to set the sound corresponding to each option

The O-Solution notification sounds correspond to the Windows Program Events as follows.

You can set the notification sounds as you like for each program event.

* General beep provides 0.8 [sec] beep sound in 262[Hz].

How to use the viewer function?

The viewer function (O-Solution Lite) can be used simply by downloading the installer from the O-Solution website and installing it on your PC.

Follow the steps below to download and install.

  1. Access the O-Solution website.
    https://www.onosokki.co.jp/English/hp_e/products/keisoku/data/os_ds/ds5000_osolution.htm
  2. Click "Download" to open download page.
  3. Click "User registration".
  4. Complete the user registration and login.
  5. After login, you can download the latest O-Solution program. Click "O-Solution Download" to start the download.
  6. "O-Solution.zip" will be downloaded, and unzip it.
  7. Execute "OSolutionStartup.exe" to install.
  8. Please refer to the "Setup Guide" that can be downloaded in the step ⑤ for details on how to install.

  9. After the installation is complete, start the O-Solution.

*How to use the viewer function

  1. Prepare the project file (.ospx) saved by the license holder and a data folder with the same name of the project file.
  2. Double-click the project file (.ospx) to start the O-Solution.
  3. You can check the measurement data and analysis results performed by the license holder.
 
  • File format to be imported
    The viewer function (O-Solution Lite) supports various binary files as follows:
    Ono Sokki:
    O-Solution file (*.orfx, *.datx)
    FAMS file (*.fhd, *.lhd, *.thd)
    ORF file(*.orf)
    Other company:
    GRAPHTEC GBD file(*.gbd)
    HIOKI MEMORY HiCORDER file(*.mem)
    TEAC TAFFmat file(*.hdr)
    YOKOGAWA WDF/WVF file(*.wdf)

    Other file formats cannot be imported.
  • ex) On the viewer function,
    the wav file cannot be imported as shown below.

    However, on the licensed O-Solution (OS-5100), the wav file can be imported.

  • Function Limitations
    On the O-Solution Lite, some functions that require license are not available. For example, when you click [Analysis] on the menu bar, the analysis types are not displayed as shown below.
  • While, on the licensed O-Solution, you can select the analysis types such as FFT analysis, FFT tracking analysis, Octave analysis and Octave tracking analysis as shown below.

The application is slow, what should I do? (if using Windows Defender)

If you use Windows Defender as your antivirus software, exclude the O-Solution from getting scanned to prevent poor performance of the O-Solution graph window.

How can the user-defined filter be registered?

The registration method differs between the frequency weighting characteristics filter and the noise removal filter.

  • Frequency weighting characteristics filter
  • It can be created by the user him/herself to apply a unique frequency weighting.
    The filter can be registered as follows. The file format is comma-separated format (CSV).

    *Reference File (Hand transmitted vibration measurement ISO5349)

    ・FFT Analysis: (fft_fwf_armvib_e.csv 14 KB)

    ・Octave Analysis: (octave_fwf_armvib_e.csv 15 KB)

     

Register the newly created file as follows.

  1. Open [User-Defined Filter Registration] --> [Frequency weighting characteristics filter] and click [Add New...] button.
  2. The list of registered filters will be displayed as shown below.

 


  • Noise removal Filter
  • It can be used in order to remove (subtraction) noise components from the analysis results.
    An analysis result in TEXT format is required for creating a noise removal filter.

  1. Export an analysis result for noise removal filter in TEXT format from “Analysis Data Manager” or “Graph Window”
  2. Import the TEXT format file into the O-Solution and register in the Analysis Data Manager.
  3. Open [ User-Defined Filter Registration]--> [Noise removal filter] and click [Add New...].
  4. The filter name registered in the Analysis Data Manager will be displayed. Select the filter and click [Register].
  5. Then, the registered filter is shown in the list.

The application will be terminated when the measurement is started or the analysis is executed. Is there any solutions?(Ver.2.0.6 or eariler)
  • When click the Start button in the measurement mode,
  • When click the Execute button in the analysis mode,
  • the application will be terminated at the above timing.This may be because some of the installed application was not installed properly. Please try the following solution.

     

    1. Installer > InstallationContents
      Double click "ww_icl_redist_intel64_2018.*.***.msi" in the above folder to uninstall once.
      (The number "* " may change depending on the version.)

    2. Click the Next.

    3. Click the Remove.

    4. Click the Remove again.

    5. Wait for the process to be completed and click Finish.

    6. Double click
      "ww_icl_redist_intel64_2018.*.***.msi" again to install it.
    7. Click the Next.

    8. Check "I accept the terms in the License Agreement" and click the Next.

    9. Click the Install.

    10. Wait for the process to be completed and click Finish.

    The reinstallation is complete. Restart your PC and perform measurement or analysis.

When starting the O-Solution, you may get an error message as follow: "Some of the software has not been installed properly. Reinstall the software to refer to our HP O-Solution FAQ." (Ver.2.1.3 or later)
  • When click the Start button in the measurement mode,
  • When click the Execute button in the analysis mode,
  • the application will be terminated at the above timing.

    * In Ver.2.1.3 or later, the following error will be displayed when starting the O-Solution.



    This may be because some of the installed application was not installed properly. Please try the following solution.

    1. Installer > InstallationContents
      Double click "ww_icl_redist_intel64_2018.*.***.msi" in the above folder to uninstall once.
      (The number "* " may change depending on the version.)

    2. Click the Next.

    3. Click the Remove.

    4. Click the Remove again.

    5. Wait for the process to be completed and click Finish.

    6. Double click
      "ww_icl_redist_intel64_2018.*.***.msi" again to install it.
    7. Click the Next.

    8. Check "I accept the terms in the License Agreement" and click the Next.

    9. Click the Install.

    10. Wait for the process to be completed and click Finish.

    The reinstallation is complete. Restart your PC and perform measurement or analysis.

When starting the O-Solution, which has not been updated for a while, you may get an error message as follow: "O-Solution license authentication failed".

Please update your software to the latest version.
