The frequency response function is calculated using an impulse hammer or exciter to obtain natural frequency of structure such as machines and automobile parts. The damping ratio is also calculated from the logarithmic decrement using the half-power bandwidth method or the Hilbert transform.

Sound analysis of motor with Sound level meter

The sound generated from a motor can be recorded with the Sound level meter and analyzed in detail with the O-Solution.
By importing the data (wav format) recorded by the Sound level meter into the O-Solution, playback of sound, frequency analysis, and Octave analysis can be performed on a PC.
