Digital Flow Meter FM-3100 New
Achieves high-speed output responding to transient flow changes
In the field of engine development, it is increasing the requirement for improving the accuracy of the measurement in the small flow rate range, and evaluating the fuel consumption characteristics in transient duration. The FM-3100 enables to meet various requirements in that field.
Feature
It captures transient flow rate changes and provides signal output either analog or CAN at 1 ms cycle. It is suitable for checking the rise of the instantaneous flow rate and measuring the fuel flow rate during transient mode.
The function to control the FM-3100 externally using CAN has been enhanced.
There is no need to communicate via RS-232C to change the integration time. By using only the CAN I/F,
the integration value can be changed and integration operations (Start, Stop, etc.) can be performed.

Command 06: Adds integration time setting
The integration time can be set from external device.
The automatic stop setting for integration time, which could previously only be changed via direct operation or RS-232C, can now be done via CAN.
Use the CAN In ID (default value: 0x601) and set the value.

Easy to perform repeated measurements
Added "05: Reset + Start" to CAN input command to measure repeatedly.
You can manually set the input voltage and pressure values, thus you can use your own pressure sensor to measure.
The analog output OUTPUT 2 can be used so that volumetric flow rate and mass flow rate can be output simultaneously.
To ensure the reliability of measurement data, a password lock function has been added to the settings of each parameter that affects measurement data. It also automatically records changes to some parameters.
If an unexpected setting error occurs, you can easily identify when the setting changes were made.

A password is required for any changes that affect the measurement data, such as changing the FP series factor or the scale for output.
Change history function
Factor history: When the FM-0311A FP Module is installed, the date and time of the change and the changed value can be saved and checked later.
Zero calibration/Low flow cut history:When the FM-0321 FZ Module is installed, the date and time of the change and the changed value can be saved and checked later.
