Electrostatic Capacitance type Gap Detectors having high stability enable non-contact and high-accurate thickness measurement. It can be selected from 10 kinds depending on type and shape of measurement objects. Best-suited system can be built up in combination with the Thickness Meter (CL series) or Displacement Meter (VT series).

They are effective for vibration or skew measurement of rotating shaft in turbine, electric motor, compressor, machine tool, and thickness/width measurement or control of moving material. Various kinds of applications are available in measurement and control-related field such as displacement, deflection or warpage.

Non-contact Thickness Meter (Electrostatic Capacitance type)

The CL-5610 series is a Non-contact Thickness Meter to measure thickness of conductors, semiconductors and insulators by using the VE series (Electrostatic Capacitance type Gap Detector). The electrostatic capacitance type gap detector has lots of experience as non-contact sensor and enables high accurate and stable thickness measurement with easy operation. The CL-5610 series uses 2 sensors to measure conductors and semiconductors as standard function. An insulator measurement can be performed by using 1 sensor with the CL-0300 (optional function). The CL-5610 is set up away from the VE sensor at 1.5 m The CL-5610S can be set up away from the VE series sensor up to 11.5 m.
