Feature
MI-5420 is probe microphone to visualize sound source with a minimum number of microphones by using Beam Forming and originally developed calculation method. Compact design of approx. 35 cm allows ease of use and good portability. Two types of probe head (for low frequency and high frequency) are provided to meet demands for wide frequency range measurement. As 500 Hz to 8000 Hz of frequency is supported by two probe heads, you can select either depending on your needs.

Four microphones are placed in each apex of a regular tetrahedron and unique to Ono Sokki. Calculate sound intensity of any two microphone pairs (six ways) in four microphones, and then determine the three-dimensional sound intensities by calculating components along the X, Y, and Z axes of the microphone probe.
