TEDS Adapter NP-0081N20 is an adapter that adds TEDS function to a TEDS-incompatible accelerometer with built-in preamplifier.
By writing the information (sensitivity information, calibration information) of the accelerometer and connecting to the TEDS supported instrument together with the accelerometer, you can use the function of TEDS sensor.
Since it connects directly to the input terminal of the measuring instrument, it does not need to change cable wiring.
By writing/recording the unique information (sensitivity information, calibration information) of the TEDS incompatible sensor to be used on the dedicated chip inside the TEDS adapter NP-0081N20, the recorded sensor unique information is automatically transferred to the TEDS supported instrument. This makes it possible to automate tasks such as sensitivity setting, and to prevent setup errors and save works of preparatory measurements.
NP-0081N20 TEDS adapter is used in one-on-one combination with a built-in preamplifier accelerometer. The same number of TEDS adapters are required when there are multiple sensors to be made compatible with TEDS. (One TEDS adapter cannot be used in combination with multiple sensors). Calibration information of the combined sensor is written on the TEDS tip built in the TEDS adapter. Model and serial number are written on a sticker affixed to the outer case. Since it is compatible with conventional CCLD (constant current drive) type preamplifier built-in sensors, it can be used as before even for measuring instrument not supporting TEDS.
