How it is influenced to the measurement accuracy of the VE series Gap Detector, if the measurement surface is curved?
The VE series Gap Detector is calibrated in a flat surface. If you measure a curved surface like a side of axis, a measurement error will occur.
For example, determined the initial position of measurement value as 1200 µm and rotate an axis. If it measures the displacement of 400 µm, the sensor measurement value has an error of 0.8 % F.S for 20 mm in diameter and 0.2 % F.S for 100 mm in diameter. However, it is possible to correct them to a certain amount after the measurement, because the error changes linearly.
