How to load the BCD output of the TS-2700/2600 into the PLC?

There are two methods to load the BCD output of the TS-2700/2600 to the PLC. For signal specification or details, please refer to the instruction manual.

Method 1

Digital display and BCD data update are stayed as interval of every 1 s (standard setting). Input the low level signal to the No.47 (hold input) of the BCD output connector. When the voltage signal with the Lo level is input, the BCD output data is held. So, load the BCD output data into the PLC in the mean time. (When the voltage signal with the Hi level is input, the BCD output data is changed to the measurement value at that timing.) After loading, change the signal into Hi level. When the hold input signal is set as the contact point, short-circuit the connector pin No.50 (common) and 47 in the low level. Set the same signal input as above when the contact point is set as an open collector.

Method 2 Use the TRIG IN signal of the remote function

Generally, this method is used for the fast measurement of 1 s or less intervals to load the BCD data of it. Set the Gate time as EXT to activate the TRIG IN function. The digital display and BCD output value are updated every TRIG IN signal input. Note that they are not updated without the signal input. The shortest TRIG IN signal is 0.1 s. The period time is necessary to be more than 0.1 s. (For the detail of the TRIG IN signal, please refer to the instruction manual.)
