How to zero the voltage output of the TS-2700?

When a new product is shipped, the zero/full scale adjustment of the analog output has been done, so adjustment is not necessary. Although the analog output for torque of the TS-2700 does not become 0 V when it is connected to the torque detector for the first time. It is because the menu setting and zero correction (Initial matching setting) according to the detector are not performed.

Initial matching setting is to operate the zero correction after setting each item of the [MENU] such as detector natural value of FACTOR. The display of both torque and analog output become zero by operating initial matching setting. Please note that zero correction is not the same operation as the zero adjustment of the analog output.

Note on the initialization

There are two methods to initialize the menu. Please note that each method has different content of the initialization.

(Method 1) Turn the [POWER] switch ON while pressing two keys of [ENTER] and [LOCK] at the same time.

Reset the setting values of MENU to the setting at the time of shipment except for analog output adjustment. (Adjusted state is held for the analog output.)

(Method 2) Turn the [POWER] switch ON while pressing two keys of [ENTER] and [MEAS/CAL] at the same time.

All MENUs including analog output adjustment is initialized. It is necessary to make [ZERO adjustment] of the analog output for torque.

[ZERO adjustment] method of the analog output for torque

This is an explanation of the method to make the analog output zero adjustment (0V) and full scale adjustment (10 V) for torque after complete initialization of the TS-2700 (Method 2). After those adjustments, process the initial matching in combination with a torque detector and then reconfirm the display to 0V. The zero adjustment is made while reading the analog output voltage for torque by the digital volt meter.

Complete initialization

1. Turn the power of the torque detector OFF.

2. Turn the [POWER] switch ON while pressing two keys of [ENTER] and [MEAS/CAL] at the same time. The TS-2700 is started with the setting of [MENU] and zero adjustment value at the time of shipment.

Analog output zero adjustment of the torque

1. Press [MEAS/CAL] key.

2. The display is changed to the analog output zero adjustment for torque as follows.

3. Read the analog output voltage. * For example, if the value is -17 mV, set the zero adjustment value as -0017. Make fine adjustment of the voltage to be 0 V by reading analog output voltage.

4. Press the [ENTER] key to confirm the setting value.

Zero adjustment display

Set the adjustment value in the lower row to adjust the voltage to be 10 V when the display shows [CHT 0].

Adjustment value: 0017 (17 mV)
For [-] setting, press [MENU] key.
Set the value with  and  keys.

Full scale adjustment

1. After the zero adjustment value is confirmed, the display is changed to full scale voltage adjustment screen.

2. Make full scale adjustment. Read the analog output voltage. * For example, if the voltage is 10.020 V, set the adjustment value as [10020]. Make fine adjustment of the voltage to be 10 V by reading the analog voltage.

3. Press the [ENTER] key to confirm the setting value.

Set the adjustment value in the lower row to adjust the voltage to be 10 V when the display shows [CHT F].

Adjustment value: 10020 (10.020 V)
Set the value with and key.
Only 9 or 10 can be displayed in the fourth or fifth digit. When you press key at fourth digit,
9 and 10 is displayed alternately.

Initial matching setting

1. Press [MEAS/CAL] key to return to torque display (measurement) screen.

2. Operate initial matching setting.

3. Connect the unit to the torque detector and set each item of the [MENU] and operate zero correction corresponding to the torque detector. For the operation, please refer to the instruction manual of the TS-2700. Also, for the outline of the operation, please refer to "How to check the setting zero correction value of TS-2700".

4. Check that the analog output voltage for torque is 0 V, when the unit is in measurement condition and no-load state.
