TS-2100 Voltage output
1. Torque voltage output

The analog voltage of torque is outputted from the TRQ OUT connector on the rear panel. The output voltages of full scale measurement are as follows which are depending on the RANGE of the torque detector.

Detector RANGEE Output voltage of full scale
1 ±1 V
2 ±2 V
5 ±5 V
10 ±10 V

Output connector: C02 type (BNC) connector
Appropriate load: 10 kΩ or more
Time constant: 500 ms/100 ms changeover

100 ms is selected when DIP switch 8 for parameter setting on the internal setting section is turned ON. It is set to OFF at the time of shipment.

How to calibrate the torque voltage output

Calibration is performed while monitoring the display of a digital multimeter (digital voltmeter). Prepare it.
  1. Disconnect both or one side of shaft of the detector from other device to prevent applying of load to the shaft during the calibration.
  2. Turn on the power of the detector and set the toggle switch according to the rotation direction.
  3. Check the LED of TRQ SIG of the TS-2100 is light up.
  4. Connect the digital voltmeter and TRQ OUT terminal on the rear panel.
  5. The calibration is not necessary if the output voltage is 0 V in no load state.
  6. Change the digital switch TRQ ZERO on the front panel when the output voltage has an error. Please do not touch the ANALOG ADJ TRQ ZERO of potentiometer. (ANALOG ADJ TRQ ZERO is used when there are difference between output voltage and BCD output.)
  7. When the TRQ ZERO (digital switch) setting value is set to the value which is subtracted by the following value, the output condition is changed to the full scale measurement mode, and the display value of the digital voltmeter becomes as follows.
Detector RANGE TRQ ZERO Digital voltmeter display value
1 1000 1 V
2 2000 2 V
5 5000 5 V
10 10000
  1. When there is an error for the display value, adjust it by rotating the potentiometer of TRQ FULL on the front panel.
  2. Please start the measurement after returning the TRQ ZERO to the default value.

2. Rotation voltage output

Note

Note that, even the input value is within the input frequency range, voltage is output maximum 10 V = 10000 r/min. When convert the lower limit of frequency to the rotating speed, 60 P/R is 20 r/min, 120 P/R is 10 r/min and 180 P/R is approx. 6.6 r/min.

Rotation analog voltage is outputted from the REV OUT connector on the rear panel. Set the P/R switch in the internal setting section according to the number of gear teeth for rotation detection. When the rotation speed is 10000 r/min, 10 V is outputted.

Generally, input signal to the REV IN connector on the rear panel is measured and output. When the parameter setting DIP switch 1 in the internal setting section is ON, the built-in motor of the torque detector is rotated, output is implemented in proportion to rotating speed. However, even when the shaft is stopped, an offset for the rotating speed of the built-in motor is output. Note that this offset differs with detectors and time.

How to calibrate the rotation voltage output

  1. Stop the shaft rotation of the detector. Connect the digital voltmeter and REV OUT terminal on the rear panel. 0 V is output when the parameter setting DIP switch 3 in the internal setting section is turned ON. If it is not output 0 V, adjust it by rotating the potentiometer of REV ZERO in the front panel. Set the parameter setting DIP switch 4 in the internal setting section to ON. The following voltage is output depending on the scale of the P/R switch on the internal setting section. When there is an error in the voltage, adjust it by rotating the potentiometer of REV ZERO on front panel.
P/R Scale to be set Output voltage
60 P/R Scale 1 10 V
120 P/R Scale 2 5 V
180 P/R Scale 3 3.3 V
  1. Please start the measurement after return the parameter setting DIP switch 3 and 4 in the internal setting section to OFF.
