The operation procedure to change the display unit of the TS series digital torque meter is as follows. For farther information, please refer to the instruction manual.
Factor Calculation
Input the Factor value of the detector with half-width digits and press the original unit button of the following dialog box.
The Factor calculation is as follows. Caution: "NaN" is displayed when you input with full-width digits. |
1. Previous model torque detector + TS-3600B/3100B
ⅰ. (Factor of kgf•m
unit) × 0.9807 = (Factor of N•m unit)
Set (Factor of N•m unit)
The nameplate of the detector are displayed Factor of kgf•m unit, so convert it to Factor of N•m unit.
| (Example) | (Factor of kgf•m unit) = 8245 → 8086 (Factor of N•m unit) |
ⅱ. Change the value of detector capacity from kgf• m unit to N• m unit. s
| (Example 1) | To convert the rated 20 kgf•m to 200 N•m, change the value 20 to 200. |
| (Example 2) | To convert the rated 50 kgf•m to 5 N•m, change the value 50 to 5. |
ⅲ. Change the display unit" -" to "N• m" mark.
ⅳ. Perform the ZERO correction.
2. New model torque detector + Previous TS unit (TS-800, 800B, TS-3100, 3100A, 3600, 3600A)
It is same operation as the 1. Display unit of iii can be set as "kgf•m" to "N•m".
(Caution) Nm unit display is not available for some models. Please stick the N• m words on the kgf• m.
3. New model torque detector + TS-3600B/3100B
It is same operation as the 1. The nameplate of previous model is displayed Factor of N•m unit i, so set the value as it is.
4. Previous model torque detector + TS-2100/2600/200/400/410
i. (Factor of kgf•m unit) × 0.9807 = (Factor of N•m unit) Set (Factor of N•m unit).
ⅱ. Set the RANGE to the value which is written on the nameplate. (RANGE value of N•m unit and kgf•m unit are the same.)
ⅲ. Move one point of the decimal point.
| (Example 1) | To convert the rated value 20 kgf•m to 200 N•m, change the value 20.00 to 200.0. |
| (Example 2) | To convert the rated value 50 kgf•m to 5 N•m, change the value 50.00 to 5.000. |
ⅳ. Prepare the sticker nameplate of N•m and stick it to the decent place of the display.
ⅴ. Perform the ZERO correction.
5. New model torque detector + TS-2100/2600/200/400/410
It is same operation as the 4. The nameplate of previous model is displayed Factor of kgf• m unit i, so set the value of N•m unit as it is.
