Digital Gauge FAQ
The measuring force is the pressing pressure of the measurement tip to the measuring target. Since the spring that pulls back the spindle is built in the linear gauge, the state where the spindle is fully pushed in is considered as the measuring force in Ono Sokki. The unit of this is N (Newton). The measuring pressure is the measuring force on the unit area of the surface to which the measuring object is pressed. The unit of this is N/mm2 (the measuring method of measuring force is depending on the JIS B 7503.).
If you want to reduce the measuring force when the measuring object is easy to deform, or if you want to make the spindle easy to return by increasing the spring force to use the linear gauge sensor sideways or upward, you can change the measuring force by replacing the spring. The changeable range of the measuring force is as follows. (Excluding BS-1210/1310 and the GS-7000 series)
Please ask for the measuring pressure change when ordering the linear gauge sensor.

In addition, consulting is necessary for the constant pressure modification, so please contact your nearest distributor or send an e-mail to us. For example, to make constant the measuring force between the moving ranges of 0 to 13 mm of the measuring range of 13 mm linear gauge is called the constant pressure modification.
