Definition of measuring force of linear gauge

The definition of the measuring force of the ONO SOKKI linear gauge sensor is established based on the dial gauge JIS standard (JIS B7503).

The measuring force is defined as follows under JIS B7503.

Performance

1. The minimum measuring force is 0.4N.

2. The maximum measuring force must not exceed 1.5N under scale interval of 0.01mm and 2N under the scale intervals of 0.002mm and 0.001mm when the spindle is placed downwards vertically.

3. The difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of the measuring force in the same motion direction of the spindle must not exceed 0.7N.

4. In any position within the measurement range, the difference of the measuring force between the entry and exit of the spindle must not exceed 0.6N under scale interval of 0.01mm and 0.9N under scale intervals of 0.002mm and 0.001mm.

Measuring method

Hold the dial gauge while placing the spindle downwards vertically, move the spindle upwards and downwards continuously and gradually, and measure the forces at the reference point, center, and the end of the measurement range.
