Is the voltage range over detected before or after the input filter (A, B or C characteristic)? (When the A characteristic filter is turned ON, the over display LED is turned off, but the waveform becomes strange. If the voltage range is set larger, the waveform becomes normal.)

The range over detection of the input voltage is processed after the input filter (frequency weighting filter of A, B or C). This detection is done by the input amplifier unit which is a part of the front end unit of the DS-2000 series. The detection result is displayed in the LED of an amplifier, and it is also displayed on the screen as software information as figure 1. Therefore, note that the input range over cannot be detected when the A characteristic filter which reduces the low frequency component signal is applied. For the countermeasure, set the input filter after checking the over indicating LED is not turned on in the state that the filter is selected as FLAT. The figure 1 shows the procedure opening the filter setting [Input > Voltage range > Set2 filter setting] in this order.
