Application 3 Real-time Octave Analysis

The frequency characteristic of audible sound for human is corresponding to the frequency band step of octave. The FFT analyzer is suitable for analyzing the high resolution of the abnormal frequency of sound and vibration. To evaluate how human feels about the sound, use the real-time analyzer.

 

In the DS-2000, simultaneous real-time octave analysis of all channels (2ch to 32ch) can be operated. Also, the 1/6 and 1/12 octave analysis can be operated simultaneously with all channels. The throughput disk function enables the octave analysis and FFT analysis in offline.

 

■Measurement system example

 

- Octave analysis and FFT analysis can be operated simultaneously in offline mode.

- Offline octave analysis is possible in the time record data.

 

■Measurement example: Sound insulation characteristic measurement of architectural material

 

- External battery enables the measurement in site which has no AC power supply.
