Application 1 Vibration analysis of structures

Resonance phenomenon is one of the main causes of chattering vibration of the robot and machine or vibration and noise of airplane and automobile. Frequency response function measurement by impulse hammer is the most popular analysis method of resonance phenomenon.

The excitation by the impulse hammer is suitable for field measurement such as trouble shooting because it is not necessary to attach the structure to the exciter, and it doesn’t need much time for measurement. The number of channels of DS-2000 is able to be increased from 2 (min) to 32 (max).

The response channel can be selected as follows;

Measurement of single excitation and single response: 2ch

Three points simultaneous measurement (X, Y, and Z): 4ch

Measurement of large structure with single excitation: 31ch

■Measurement example

1)Excitation of a structure by the impulse hammer.

• Direct input of accelerometer and impulse hammer are available.

• Number of channel can be increased from 2 to 32.

• When optional signal output is set, excitation examination by the exciter can be operated.

• When 2ch signal output is set, 2 points simultaneous excitation is possible.

• Mode analysis of the measurement results is possible.

• Animation display of the actual vibration is possible by the simultaneous measurement of multiple points.

2)Vibration measurement of multiple points by multiple channels input unit

■Measurement of frequency response function of each structure

Automobile (vehicle body, engine cylinder block, etc.), Automobile tool (Oil pan, wind screen wiper, power steering, etc.), OA equipment (Printer, copy machine, hard disc, etc.), Machine tool, Rotation machine (Pump, Fan, Turbine blade, etc.), Robot, Ship, Electric home appliance (DAT, CD, Chassis of VTR, Washing machine, Compressor of refrigerator, Air conditioner, Electric fan, etc.)
