How to specify the time interval between data of 3D display in the DS-2000 series?

There are two methods to specify the time interval between data of 3D display;

1. Using the DS-0221 Time record function.
2. Using the DS-0222 Constant-time scheduling function.

Method 1: Using the DS-0221 Time record function

Save the data by the time record function and playback it.

Set the gap amount before you playback the data. The relation between the time interval and gap amount can be explained in the following calculation formula.

Time interval of data = Gap amount÷ (Frequency range × 2.56)

(Calculation example)

Frequency range: 10 kHz, Gap amount setting value: 128
Time interval of data = 128 ÷ (10000 × 2.56) = 0.005 s (5 ms)

Turn on the START button after turning on the REC button to execute the time record.

Click [Input] > [Record] > [Play Back] in this order, and open the Play Back screen, and set the [Gap] amount.

Change the screen to [ARRAY].

Turn on the [START] button after turning on the [PLAY] button, and display the 3D graph.

Method 2: Using the DS-0222 Constant-time scheduling function

Use the [Time schedule] (constant-time scheduling) in the tracking function setting screen of the DS-0222. This function enables to load the data in each constant-time interval. The minimum setting time (minimum time interval) of the [Time schedule] is as follows.

In the online analysis: 0.1 s
In the offline analysis: 0.01 s

Click [Input] > [Tracking] in this order, and open the [Tracking measurement] screen.

Select [Schedule: (Constant) Time schedule] and set [Delta time (Sampling interval): Any value].

Turn on the [TRACK] button and start the measurement with the [START] button. (Execute the tracking measurement.)

Click the [Array (Tracking)] on the screen to display the 3D graph.

Click the [Array] on the screen after executing the tracking analysis in both cases of online and offline analysis.

The [Array (Current)] setting is remained if you do not execute the tracking analysis. The measurement in the [Array (Current)] setting is not using the constant-time scheduling function.
