1. Cause and countermeasure of the measurement error
Causes | Countermeasures |
---|---|
When the velocity of the sensor spindle is exceeded the maximum response velocity of the GS series Digital Gauge Sensor. | Lower the velocity of the target measurement object or the velocity of the sensor to make the velocity of the sensor spindle lower than the maximum response velocity or less. |
The maximum response velocity is exceeded by the shock when the tip of the spindle strikes the target measurement object. | Same as the above. |
When the sensor input signal is affected by external noise. |
|
When the "90 degrees phase
difference" of the sensor output signal is off to the
correct position.
(When the display of the zero point does not show zero but gradually becomes larger in every measurement.) |
Replace the sensor. |
When the BCD connector
input/output signal is affected by external noise.
(When the BCD connector is removed, it is returned to normal operation.) |
|
When the terminal block of the input signal is affected by external noise. | Same as the above. |
2. The confirmation of the GS sensor error.
Causes | Countermeasures |
---|---|
When the display count of the GS sensor is not increased or decreased (UP/DOWN) even if you slowly move the spindle up and down with the finger. | Replace the GS sensor. |
When the display shows not 0 but remaining numeric value even if you reset at the reference point and move the spindle up and down to return to the reference point. | |
The spindle does not move smoothly. |
3. Return from the measurement error.
After the cause of the error is removed with each countermeasure, press the RESET button of the front panel of the DG-4000 series to reset the operation. For the reset methods for other errors such as a terminal block input, please refer to the specifications of each model.
