DR-7100 has trigger function that controls start or stop of recording. Two types of trigger signals are provided as follows.
A. Trigger by signal input to an external terminal(PULSE/TRIG)
B. Trigger by signal magnitude recorded to the specified channel
Here, " A. Trigger by signal input to an external terminal(PULSE/TRIG)" is described. (It is said with "external trigger" as follows)
*Preparation for external trigger measurement
1. Set as follows;「MENU」→「INPUT」→「CH_USE」→「EXT」→「TRG」
2. Set as follows;「MENU」→「TRG」→「TRG_MODE」→「ONESHOT」or「REPEAT」
「ONESHOT」…Trigger function is released after the triggering is applied only once.
「REPEAT」…Trigger function is enabled repetitively
Set as follows;「MENU」→「TRG」→「TRG_TYP」→「TTL+」/「TTL-」/「GATE+」/「GATE-」
Press「TRG」on the panel switch and then press REC button for recording to standby the trigger.
There are 4 types of "External trigger" as shown bellows.
1. TTL+
The recording starts by the voltage input of TTL level to a PULSE/TRIG terminal at the timing of signal rising.
When the recording time is not set, the recording is continued until it is stopped manually whether「TRG_MODE」is「ONESHOT」or「REPEAT」 When only recording time is set, it ignores the signal which corresponds to the trigger signal during recording according to the set value.
When 「TRG_MODE」is set to「ONESHOT」, the recording will stop when it comes to the setup time. When 「TRG_MODE」is set to「REPEAT」, it will wait for the next trigger if the save mode is set to「AUTO」.
When both the recording time and interval time are set, it follows the behavior according to the each setup (recording time setting and interval setting) whether「TRG_MODE」is set to「ONESHOT」 or 「REPEAT」.
2.TTL-
The recording starts by the voltage input of TTL level to a PULSE/TRIG terminal at the timing of signal rising. When the recording time is not set, the recording is continued until it is stopped by manual operation whether「TRG_MODE」is「ONESHOT」or「REPEAT」.
When only recording time is set, it ignores the signal which corresponds to the trigger signal during recording according to the set value.
When 「TRG_MODE」is set to「ONESHOT」, the recording will stop when it comes to the setup time. When 「TRG_MODE」is set to「REPEAT」, it will wait for the next trigger if the save mode is set to「AUTO」.
When both the recording time and interval time are set, it follows the behavior according to the each setup (recording time setting and interval setting) whether「TRG_MODE」is set to「ONESHOTO」 or 「REPEAT」.
3.GATE+
The recording starts by HI level signal input externally to a PULSE/TRIG terminal. The recording is continued while the signal is HI level. (It stops when the signal becomes Low level.) It ignores the setup time of recording and follows the time duration of HI level signal.
4.GATE-
The recording starts by Low level signal input externally to a PULSE/TRIG terminal. The recording is continued while the signal is Low level. (It stops when the signal becomes HI level.) It ignores the setup time of recording and follows the time duration of Low level signal.
