An endurance test of bearing is performed
by rotating it over long time under being loaded. To
check damage situation, you have to remove bearing for
visual checking of nicks on it after more than one hour
operation or judge by sound or vibration during operation.
Since most of tests are performed in unattended
operation, abnormality of bearing might not be realized
and it can damage the tester. In this example, the
VC-3200 vibration comparator detects abnormal vibration
by mounting sensor (screw mounting) on measurement
object. The VC-3200 can make judgment (simultaneous
judgment of three bands) by capturing up to maximum
of three abnormal phenomena. The VC-3200 constantly
monitors bearing vibration and outputs Failure signal if
unusual vibration is occurred, so it enables machinery
control such as an emergency stop. Also you can
accurately figure out occurrence of nick by using the
crest factor count function of VC-3200 (option).
-
The VC-3200 can be setup three kinds of
frequency bands and make Pass/Fail judgment of each
band based on rms, peak, or power averaging calculated
value (same for all bands). Also
it has the comparator delay time setting function and
auto operation function. The comparator delay time
setting function removes unwanted signal at the time of
starting measurement and the auto operation function can
control a timing of judgment by inputting control
signal from external device such as PLC*.
Although the VC-3200 can be operated by 24 VDC (22 to 26
VDC) as standard, you have an alternative to use it at
100 VAC by connecting the optional AC/DC convertor
VC-0352.
-
Connecting the VC-3200 to a PC via RS-232C
interface enables storing the measured data and so on.
-
By connecting a pair of commercially sold
headphones to the VC-3200, it is possible to make
hearing check of vibrating sound. Moreover, it can be
used instead of conventional stethoscopic probe. Output
signal is provided for each band, enabling an
observation for vibration phenomenon on each frequency
band.
