Cracks on pressed products are usually
inspected with visual checking by operators after press
working. As it is an inspection after press working,
once finding a defect means that there may be a dozen of
Failed products. Moreover, since huge volumes of visual
checking waste a lot of labors and time, that might
cause overlook of Failed product. The overlook of Failed product
seriously affects product in quality afterward so that
cracks must be detected during press working in order to
prevent it from being brought out to next process.
Therefore the VC-3200 detects abnormal vibration when
cracks occur and makes Pass/Fail determination, it improves
working efficiency and prevents cracked products from
being brought out to next process.

The VC-3200 can be setup three frequency
bands and make Pass/Fail determination based on rms, peak on each band
or power averaging calculated value (same for all bands). Also it has
effective functions such as comparator delay time setup
function and auto operation function. Comparator delay
time setup function removes unwanted signal at the time
of starting measurement and automatic operation function
can control a timing of determination by inputting a
control signal from external device such as PLC*.
Although the VC-3200 can be operated by 24VDC (22 to
26VDC) as standard, you have an alternative to use it at
100 VAC by connecting an optional AC/DC convertor
VC-0352.

The NP-3331N20 accelerometer is fixed on a
table of pressing machine by screw.

Connecting the VC-3200 to a PC via RS-232C
interface enables storing measured data and so on.

By connecting a pair of commercially sold
headphones to the VC-3200, it is possible to make
hearing check of vibrating sound. Moreover, it can be
used instead of conventional stethoscopic probe. Output
signals are provided for each band, enabling an
observation for vibration phenomenon on each frequency
band separately.
