In this example, the VC-2200 vibration
comparator detects vibration by mounting a sensor on a
measurement object (attachable/removable by using
magnetic base) for an operation check of pressure
adjustment valve in a rice cooker. In a conventional
inspection method, the operator has to listen carefully
the abnormality from operated sound of pressure
adjustment valve. The judgment by vibration value
reduces the strain on ears of operator and the time for
inspection process. The Pass/Fail judgment is made by
the deference of vibration value. The control by
measured value and checking of vibration sound by
headphones can be performed at the same time.

The VC-2200 can be setup two frequency
bands, and make Pass/Fail judgment based on the rms or
the peak value on each band. The VC-2200 has effective
functions such as comparator delay time setup function
for reduction of unwanted signal at the time of
measurement start and automatic operation function in
order to control the judgment timing by input the
gate signal from external equipments such as PLC*. You
can use the VC-2200 at 100VAC with VC-0352 AC/DC
converter as well as 24VDC (22 to 26VDC) as a power
source.

By connecting a pair of commercially sold
headphones to the VC-2200, it is possible to make an
auditory check of the vibrating sound. Moreover, it can
be used instead of conventional stethoscopic probe.
Output signals are provided for each band, enabling an
observation for vibration phenomenon on each frequency
band separately.
