The vibration from a laundry machine greatly affects the product value. For an inspection of vibration, they use equipments such as sensor or vibration meter but the judgment is made by operator with visual check. In this example, the abnormal sound is detected from vibration with the VC-2200 by mounting sensor on the measurement object (attachable/removable by using magnetic base). Moreover, the VC-0423 integrating function (option) enables direct reading of the amplitude value and automatic judgment. It greatly helps to reduce working cost and ensure the stable products in quality.
 

The VC-2200 can be setup two kinds of frequency band and make Pass/Fail judgment of each band based on the rms, peak, and crest factor values. Also it has comparator delay time setting function and auto operation function. The comparator delay time setting function can remove the unwanted signal at the time of starting measurement and the auto operation function can control the timing of judgment by inputting a control signal from external device such as PLC*. Although the VC-3200 can be operated by 24VDC (22 to 26VDC) as standard, you have an alternative to use it at 100 VAC by connecting the optional AC/DC convertor VC-0352.
 

Adding VC-0423 integrating function (option) enables integration of signal from accelerometer and measurement with speed/displacement. Moreover, the judgment with speed/displacement can be made in the combination with comparator function.
 

By connecting a pair of commercially sold headphones to the VC-2200, it is possible to make hearing check of the vibrating sound. Moreover, it can be used instead of conventional stethoscopic probe. Output signals are provided for each band, enabling an observation for vibration phenomenon on each frequency band.
