This example shows how to measure the thickness of steel plate by the VE series sensors mounted on precision rolling machine. The CL-5610S can be used far from a gap detector at 4 m as a standard, up to 11.5 m as an option. You can choose a suitable model of gap detector depending on your required resolution (1 μm or 0.1 μm). In the above example, the VE-8020 with wide measurement range (gap max. at 8 mm) is used.
