Measuring frequency characteristics and
harmonic distortion of a speaker sound |

For measuring frequency characteristics or
harmonic distortion of speaker sound, use the sine sweep
signal output from the DS-0371 signal output unit
installed in the DS-3000 series data station. Measure
the speaker sound of the sine sweep signal output by the
sound level meter. The frequency characteristics of the
speaker can be obtained by calculating the frequency
response function between the sine sweep signal and the AC
output signal from the sound level meter. The harmonic
distortion of the speaker can be measured by using the fixed
sine wave signal output from the DS-0371.

The real time octave function installed in
the DS-3000 series enables 1/1 and 1/3 octave analysis.

MI-1235 (microphone), MI-3111
(preamplifier), SC-3120 (sound calibrator) can be used in
place of a sound level meter.

Remarks
The DS-3000 series needs a PC separately.
T-type connector (BNC JPJ) for branching the amplifier (for
the speaker) and signal output cable is user preparation.
Other models of FFT analyzer can be applicable (the CF-3650R
with real time octave analysis function + the CF-0371). |
