What is adjacent error?

Adjacent error is actual pitch variation between any two adjacent pulses. It is expressed by an absolute value.

The adjacent error of the RP-1700 series Rotary Encoder depends on the number of output pulses. If you perform rotational fluctuation measurement using pulse intervals, for accurate measurement, you need to use the models whose adjacent error is 1/200 (P).

The models of adjacent error 1/200 (P): 60, 100, 180, 250, 256, 300, 750, 4500, 6000 (P/R)
