How to branch the signal of the MP-981

 

(1) How to branch the output signal

 

Branching is possible when the distance between the MP-981 and the branching destination is short (5 m or less). However, please use the unit which has 20 kΩ or more input impedance for the branching destination. When the TM-2100 series is branching destination, connect to the second terminal block from the first one by branching SIG, COM and shield cable. (Please refer to the figure 1.) The noise is easily occurred when two terminal blocks are connected with long signal cables, so please use isolated amplifier (PA-150).(Please refer to the figure 2.)

<Caution> When the baking plate is used as the mounting jig of the MP-981, please perform the earth grounding with the grounding terminal of the TM-2100 series (first unit). When conductor such as a metal is used as the mounting jig of the MP-981 and securely grounded, please do not perform the earth grounding from the grounding terminal of the TM-2100 series (first unit). Please perform the earth grounding from the grounding terminal of the PA-150 and the TM-2100 series (second unit).

 

(2) About the dedicated amplifier PA-150 (Isolated signal amplifier)

 

The PA-150 Isolated amplifier is dedicated amplifier for the MP-981. Please use it in following conditions.

1. There is a risk of noise when the cable is extended.

2. When you want to branch the signal.

3. When you want to relay the cable.
