Time weighting setting

There are two kinds of time weighting for the LA-1240/1250/1350 such as FAST and SLOW, and three kinds for the LA-4350 such as FAST, SLOW and IMP. Select it by the panel switch [FAST/SLOW] (LA-4350: [FAST/SLOW/IMP]) according to measurement purpose.

Refer to the following table to select the time weighting according to measurement purpose.

FAST	·Applicable to general sound measurement
SLOW	·Applicable to level measurement with little variation with time ·Applicable to simple measurement of average level of fluctuating sound
IMP	·Applicable to measurement of impulsive sound

Selecting time weighting

Each time you press the panel switch [FAST/SLOW] of the LA-1240/1250/1350, the time weighting changes as follows;

FAST→SLOW→FAST→SLOW→···

Each time you press the panel switch [FAST/SLOW/IMP] of the LA-4350, the time weighting changes as follows;

FAST→SLOW→IMP→FAST→SLOW→IMP→FAST···
