FX-1100 Mass-Burette Flow Detector FAQ
Due to the detection principle, the FX series cannot measure the flow rate during filling, thus the instantaneous flow rate cannot be updated.
When the fuel in the burette of FX-1100 is low, the filling valve inside will open automatically and the fuel will be filled in the burette.
Fuel will continue to flow from the FX outlet during filling, so the engine will not stop.

An error message is displayed if the liquid level is the lowest (out of fuel) or the highest (overflow). It occurs when the fuel consumption of the test object is high and the fuel supplied to FX is insufficient, or when the consumption flow rate of the test object is low and the supply amount to FX is too large. Please be sure that the fuel is supplied properly.
If "LEVEL ERROR" is always displayed, there may be fuel in the reference pipe. Refer to the instruction manual, open the cover, and drain the fuel from the reference pipe.

Consider the capacity of the fuel supplying pump.
When the amount of fuel in the fuel supply tank decreases, the FX series will add fuel into the tank (detector inlet: close → open) while maintaining the fuel consumption (detector outlet: open). Therefore, the amount of flow supplied to the FX series must be the maximum consumption + the adding amount. However, if the adding amount is too much, it may overflow. While, if the adding amount is too less, it will not be in a measurable state as the fuel has not been added.
- Please select a fuel supply pump with the discharge amount that is sufficiently larger than the maximum fuel consumption. (against insufficient adding flow amount)
- We recommend installing a flow control valve at the fuel inlet of the FX series detector. (against fuel overflow)
Please refer to the instruction manual.
