The possible recording time for the DS-0250 Throughput disk function.

The maximum size of recorded data is 4 GB.

Recordable time for 4 GB can be roughly obtained by the following formula.

 

Rough recording time (minute) = (4×1024×1024×1024) ÷ (Frequency range×2.56×K) ÷ 60s ÷ Number of storage channel

 

16-bit: K=2 (byte)

24-bit: K=4 (byte)

Example

Channel: 1, Frequency range: 20 kHz, Number of storage bit: 16-bit

Sample frequency: 20000×2.56=51200 (Hz)

51200 data are stored in a second.

16-bit (2 bytes): 51200×2=102400

Recording time in 4 GB: (4×1024×1024×1024)÷(51200×2)÷60s÷1=699 (minute)
