The instruction manual of the CP-5720A Crank angle measurement detector says "Use high-tension M5 bolts" to fix the attachment adapter (prepared by the customer) and the CP-5720A to the crank pulley of the engine.
Can I use bolts other than high-tension bolts? And which high-tension bolt should I use?

Be sure to use the "grade 10.9" M5 high-tension bolts. You can purchase high-tension bolts at your local hardware stores.

Generally, since engines vibrate heavily, high-tension bolts made of SCM alloy steel are used in the area around the engine in order to keep the bolts in place. The tightening pressure of common bolts is approx. 5.4 Nm; whereas tightening pressure of high-tension bolts is from dozens of times to 100 times greater. High-tension bolts are classified by strength, so you can firmly fix the CP-5720A and the attachment adapter using "grade 10.9" (a general strength class) M5 high-tension bolts.

* Incidentally, this "grade 10.9" represents;
10: 980 N/mm2
9: Yield load 90% = 882 N/mm2
