• This example shows how to measure and monitor the sound level by using continuous measurement function of the LA-1441A. For example, it measures the maximum value and time-average sound level (equivalent continuous sound level, L_eq) continuously for an hour by using continuous measurement function. This function allows long time measurement at fixed point outdoors.
• The measurement data is stored automatically in the internal memory. The stored data can be transferred to the PC via USB or RS-232C interface.
• When the more accurate measurement is required, we recommend the use of LA-4441A Class1 precision integrating sound level meter.
• Also, the object which generates the sound can be recorded and replayed as a video corresponding to its data of sound level synchronously by using VR-24 data recorder (made by TEAC* corporation, user preparation). This allows the visual checking of what causes the rapid fluctuation in sound level at automatic sound measurement.
