This example shows how to measure the
time-average sound level (equivalent continuous sound
level, Leq) which is generated from machine
during operation.

Measure the sound level at several points
which are expected to be high level and around the
position of operator’s ears. The measurement position
must be at 1m away from the machinery and 1.2 m to 1.5 m
above on the floor surface.

The LA-1411 Class2 integrating sound level
meter can store the data of sound level at each point in
internal memory and recall them. Also, the stored
measurement data can be transferred to the PC via USB or
RS-232C interface.
