What is EU calibration?

The EU calibration function enables the reading of a vertical axis such as a power spectrum in physical quantity direct reading by providing the sensitivity value of the physical signal from the sensor to the FFT analyzer. EU refers to an Engineering Unit and means a physical unit of a sensor. Since the signal that is input is a voltage signal, the sensitivity value, which is the voltage value per 1 EU, is input (set).

The dB value of the power spectrum that has been calibrated to EU normally indicates a value determined based on 1 EU as the reference value in the same way as for the voltage value and is displayed as dBEU.

However, caution is necessary for sound and vibration as, in the case of sound, 20 μPa becomes 0dB.
