This is an example of a constant
monitoring of motor in equipment. Parts in equipment
including bearings are replaced ahead of time to prevent
an accident such as production line stopping. Moreover,
periodical checking of parts with a vibrometer is a
heavy burden on cost and labor. This example shows that
the VC-3200 vibration comparator detects abnormality
from vibration by mounting sensor (magnetic
attachable/removal) on a measurement object.

The VC-3200 can make judgment
(simultaneous determination of four bands) by capturing
up to three abnormal phenomena. Constant monitoring with the
VC-3200 determines accurate time for parts
replacement and contributes to save operation time. It
also has a significant role as an accident measures by
unexpected accident. The abnormality of equipment or
worn part is detected by change in vibration value.
Numeral control and auditory checking of vibration sound
with headphone can be performed simultaneously.

The VC-3200 can be set up three kinds of
frequency bands and make Pass/Fail judgment of each
band based on rms, peak or power averaging calculated
value (same for all bands). Also
it has the comparator delay time setting function and
auto operation function. The comparator delay time
setting function removes the unwanted signal at the time
of starting measurement and the auto operation function
can control the timing of judgment by inputting
control signal from external device such as PLC*.

Connecting the VC-3200 to a PC via RS-232C
interface enables storing the measured data and so on.

By connecting a pair of commercially sold
headphones to the VC-3200, it is possible to make
hearing check of vibrating sound. Moreover, it can be
used instead of conventional stethoscopic probe. Output
signals are provided for each band, enabling an
observation for vibration phenomenon on each frequency
band.
