Specifications / VE series Capacitance Type Gap Detectors

Photo (VE series Capacitance Type Gap Detectors)

Gap detectors makes use of a non-contact method for measuring displacement without affecting the measuring object.
These are very useful in various kinds of vibration and displacement measurement such as  shaft vibration and surface vibration measurement
.

The VE series gap detector is used to measure and display a gap (displacement) from the capacitance between the detector and the measuring object.

Features

  • No calibration is required in measurement of any conductive materials.
  • Measurement can be made down to a gap of zero.
  • Using the CL-2400/6200 non-contact thickness meter, the measurement results can be digitally processed and displayed, and output via GP-IB interface or BCD connector.

*1: Temperature range for guaranteed linearity at 20°C±2°C
*2: The VE-525A slim-line detector is designed for such applications as the measurement of the surface vibration of aluminum hard disks,
in which measurement must be made in tight quarters.
