Differences between the FM-2500A and the FM-3100
The connector shape of FM-2500A is BNC-J, but FM-3100 is a D-sub connector. How to connect for analog output?

Please use FM-0012 analog output conversion adapter (D-sub to BNC(J), 0.5 m).

Is there any differences in analog output between the FM-2500A and the FM-3100?

The FM-2500A updates analog output every 100 ms. The FM-3100 updates every 1 ms.

Yes, the inter-module calculation function equivalent to FM-0210 is equipped as standard on FM-3100. It enables calculation with two detector modules built into the FM-3100.

Combination calibration is not currently performed. We calibrate the detector, FM-3100 alone.

Yes, the input temperature range of FM-3100 is-50 °C to 200 °C. Analog output scale setting range is -50 °C to 200 °C.

How should I use CAN communication and RS-232C communication properly?

The CAN communication is capable of high-speed output of 1 ms update, but the settings cannot be changed. The RS-232C communication can change almost all settings and perform measurement, but it is slower than CAN in terms of communication speed.

Is it possible to set the Auto Stop function via the CAN communication?

No, but if you manually set the Auto Stop function in FM-3100 in advance, you can read data via the CAN communication. Use the RS-232C communication to set the Auto Stop function and perform all measurements online.

Yes.

Start the FM-3100 with external communication device (RS-232C, CAN) and then stop the FM-3100 with the remote control.

To perform automatic measurement only with the FAMS system, the following procedure is correct? Start input → Reference standby time elapsed → Stop input

Yes,

however, when performing integrated measurement multiple times, if the FAMS system is stopped after the standby, the total time of integration may not be the same due to communication delay. Therefore, the Auto Stop function of FM-3100 is suitable.

Does the FM-3100 have Auto Stop function?

Yes, it can measure with the same period of time until the integration operation is stopped. The setting condition can be selectable from Total Time, Total Flo, and Total Revo.
